Parent Summit 2009

On Saturday November 23rd 2009 Southeast Middle School hosted its annual Parent Summit.

The day was comprised of workshops for parents on various school related topics. Among them were school clubs, understanding state test data, Internet safety, using the School Library effectively, and others. There was a great turn out of interested parents from our community. Parents and presenters enjoyed refreshments during and after the workshops. Special thanks to all the teachers and staff who helped to make the day a success. -Southeast Middle School Inaugurated the New Parent Center in room 100. Ms. Sequeira, Principal and Ms. Parra, Parent Community Liaison, cut the ribbon. The Parent Center is here to support the parents,students and teachers. It offers content area classes, computer classes, parenting classes and art classes. Monthly calendars are sent home with students the first Friday of the month. If you need a copy of the Parent Center Calendar, feel free to stop by room 100 or call 323-568-3144.
